Renfin acquired two hydro plants in Marke Region, Italy

The Sassoferrato plant is located near Fabriano town. It was built in 1928 and in 2008 underwent an electromechanical refurbishment. The plant with a head of 47 m uses water from the Sentino river which is a tributary to Esino where Renfin owns and operates the Genga plant.

Sassoferrato plant is equipped by 2 Francis turbines with a rated power of 726 kW.

The second acquired site, Corinaldo, whose powerhouse building can boast with an unconventional engine room depth was commissioned in 2015. The plant with a head of 13,4 m and rated flow of 4 m3/s lays on river Cesano and is equipped by a Kaplan and a Banki turbines.

The rated power of Corinaldo is 519 kW.

Both plants were acquired from an investment infrastructure fund based in London with an aim to increase the Renfi's portfolio in Italy.
